In addition to the myriad of big coffee chains like Starbucks, Katy is also home to a number of independent or smaller chain coffee shops. Never one to turn down a coffee with a friend, there are few coffee shops in Katy that I have not frequented. Read on to see my favorite Katy coffeehouses.1. Serene Beans definitely deserves to be on the list for coffee. They have the highest reviews of any coffee shop in Katy. Just sayin.

Hi, Michael, glad you mentioned that! I like the vibe at Serene Beans. Unfortunately, when I went, I asked if my latte could be made with almond milk, and the young lady said, "Sorry, we don't have that." When I asked if she had any non-dairy options, she said no. So I left with a plain black drip coffee. Maybe she was new, or maybe it was an "off" day and they were out of all their usual non-dairy milks, but it was a disappointment. If you know for sure that they normally do have non-dairy milk options, I'm happy to give them another chance!
